Work From Home-Can you really make money?

We all get caught up in the hype about work from home opportunities. We all have this notion that this business is a piece of cake. Well in order to have a really good cake we have to prepare it right. First you would need a recipe, then you would need to go shopping to get all the ingredients, we would then have to prepare it exactly like the recipe says.

But so many of us just think that we can practically do nothing and the money just comes rolling in. We don't expect that from a JOB. We DO the work then we get paid. The same thing happens in Network Marketing, we have to do the WORK then we reap the harvest of our efforts. This does not happen overnight. For most, they do alot of work and never get paid. Do you know anyone that has worked in a MLM for many months or even years and never recieved one penny. I know that has happened to me. Why? because I didn't have all the ingredients for the recipe.

The recipe:
1. You have to have a WHY or a DREAM to keep you focused to accomplish your goal to become successful. No matter how long it takes or how hard it seems, you can never QUIT!

2. Have to have a 5 pillars company. This company should reward the part time marketer, not just the top dogs getting all the money.

3. You will need training. It is important to be able to contact people anywhere in your organization to get the help and training that you need. This training should have a proven track record as being duplicatable.

4. You will need to do self-development, which will help you to grow and become a Leader.

5. Doing social networking, getting yourself in front of people. Building relationships.

6. Following up with your leads. If you never call your leads how could you ever expect your business to grow.

7. Branding yourself as an expert, by blogging, writing articles, squidoo lenses, videos, etc.

You cannot achieve success by doing just one step by itself, it takes a combination of a little of each to become successful.

Try picturing this in your mind:.....You have a recipe for a CHOCOLATE CAKE

2 oz chocolate (squares)
1 cup of boiling water
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups of sifted flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup sour milk
2 eggs, beaten

You have to heat the chocolate, water and shortening in a double boiler, to melt the chocolate. Then you have to measure and mix the remaing ingredients. Stir everything together until you have a smooth batter. Pour batter into 2 round pans and then bake at 350 degrees, bake at approximately 30-35 minutes. Let cool, then you can add your favorite icing.

When this is prepared correctly you get a delicious cake.

But what happens if we leave out the baking powder for instance, you get a flat hard cake.
What if we substitute motor oil for the shortening, what would this do to the our cake? I sure wouldn't want to eat it, would you?

You get the picture I'm sure!

Well the same thing happens in Network Marketing, if we leave out just one ingredient or we substitute something, then we end up with junk. If you follow the recipe you really can make money.

Follow the recipe to success!

Hi Debbie,

A "'recipie' for success" ... Hmmm ... no that 's an awesome word picture. I can just imagine how lethal a cake prepared with motor oil would be. Just like leaving out one of the ingredients in this recipie for MLM business success would be lethaal to one's business dreams & goals. Good job!

I appreciate you,

Hi Debbie,

You have provided a great recipe not only for a cake but for building a solid home business. And, just like the cake will be perfect by following the proven recipe, so will a home business when the proven recipe is followed.

I know the recipe for building a business which you have provided is duplicable and will produce results.

Thanks,

Debbie,

You are absolutely right. It is so important to follow the recipe.

I know in my business, I've often tried to substitute my own ingredients. It doesn't work.

And when you find the recipe, you have to follow the directions. Many people quit too soon.

Thanks for sharing this valuable information.

I love the turn of your phrase, "piece of cake," then talking about a recipe ... for cake.

The do nothing expectation seems to be so common. I guess we shouldn't be surprised. I am glad to have found your blog. I will be a regular reader.
